The History of Genocide against Tutsi in Rwanda- Cyanika 1963

Kwibuka Rwanda

“In December 1963, a small group of Rwandans who has been driven out of the country in 1959 attempted to return to their home in Bugesera.

Their attack was used as a pretext to persecute Tutsis across the country, especially in Bufundu and Bunyambiriri (former Gikongoro, current Nyamagabe).

More than 21,000 people were killed on Christmas Day.
